After earning a BA and MA in Ancient and Modern Culture and Philology from the University of Naples “L’Orientale,” I began my career as a freelance editor and proofreader, working with independent publishers in Italy and Germany. My passion for books guided me to Berlin, where in 2015 I began working as an editor, printer, and bookbinder for SHS Publishing and Vetro Editions.

Driven by a love for bookbinding, I have travelled across Europe to study with renowned master bookbinders, including Cristina Balbiano d’Aramengo
(Professione Libro), Luigi Castiglioni, and Annette Friedrich. After moving to London in 2017, I worked with leading printing companies and specialist binderies,
as well as establishing myself as a self-employed bookbinder and box maker. In
2019, I joined George Bayntun in Bath, where some of my bindings were exhibited at FIRSTS – London’s Rare Book Fair, one of the world’s most prestigious events
for rare books.

In 2020, I was honoured to receive a QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust) scholarship in bookbinding, which enabled me to refine my techniques in design binding through specialised training with master bookbinders such as Hélène Jolis, Kathy Abbott, and Suzanne Schmollgruber (Centro del Bel Libro Ascona).

Most recently, I gained valuable experience at Shepherds Bookbinders, where I specialised as a forwarder and edge gilder, and I continue to build on my practice through collaborative and innovative bookbinding projects.
